Jared Nichols
Jared Nichols is the Founder of Nichols Capital Partners, a private investment firm focused on acquiring and operating profitable small and mid-sized businesses throughout New England.
Jared founded Nichols Capital Partners with the goal of partnering with business owners who are seeking a thoughtful and responsible transition for the companies they have spent years building. The firm’s philosophy is centered on long-term ownership, operational continuity, and preserving the legacy and culture that have made these businesses successful.
Jared holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Endicott College with a focus on strategy, finance, and entrepreneurship and a BA from Saint Anselm College in Communication. Through his academic training and professional experience, he developed a strong interest in business ownership, operational leadership, and the long-term stewardship of privately held companies.
Professionally, Jared has built his career around sales leadership, relationship development, and organizational growth. His experience working closely with business owners and decision-makers has given him valuable insight into the challenges and opportunities facing small and mid-sized companies. These experiences inform his approach to identifying strong businesses and supporting their continued success after acquisition.
Raised in Greater New England, Jared has a deep appreciation for the role small businesses play in their local communities. Many of the region’s most successful companies were built by founders who dedicated decades to serving their customers, developing their employees, and establishing trusted reputations in their industries. Jared believes those legacies deserve to be preserved and strengthened for the next generation.
At Nichols Capital Partners, Jared focuses on sourcing acquisition opportunities, building relationships with business owners and advisors, and ensuring a smooth and thoughtful transition of ownership. He works closely with experienced operators, including his father, whose decades of professional experience provide additional operational guidance and leadership for acquired businesses.
Together, Jared and his partners bring more than 40 years of combined professional experience to Nichols Capital Partners and share a long-term commitment to supporting the continued success of businesses across the New England region.
Jared lives in Melrose, Massachusetts with his Golden Retriever, Spencer and remains actively engaged in his local community.
Ralph Nichols
Ralph Nichols serves as an Operating Partner at Nichols Capital Partners, where he provides strategic guidance and operational leadership for the firm’s portfolio companies.
Ralph brings more than 35 years of experience in sales leadership, business development, and operational management across the manufacturing and consumer electronics industries. Throughout his career, he has worked closely with engineering teams, distributors, and OEM partners to develop products, expand market share, and build long-term customer relationships across North America.
Ralph currently serves as Vice President of Business Development for North America at Celestion, a globally recognized manufacturer of premium loudspeaker components. In this role, he oversees the company’s U.S. operations and leads sales and market development initiatives across both the OEM and distribution channels. He works closely with product development teams and key industry partners to support new product launches and drive revenue growth throughout the North American market.
Prior to Celestion, Ralph held several senior sales leadership roles including Sales Director at ATI Systems and National Sales Manager positions at B&C Speakers and Audax of America. In these roles, he was responsible for managing national sales organizations, developing distribution networks, and building long-standing relationships with manufacturers and technical engineering teams. His career has consistently focused on scaling sales operations, building strong industry partnerships, and supporting sustained business growth.
In addition to his professional career, Ralph has been deeply involved in his local community. He has spent over three decades volunteering as a youth coach for baseball, softball, and hockey, helping mentor young athletes and contribute to local youth sports programs.
At Nichols Capital Partners, Ralph brings decades of real-world operating experience to support business owners through ownership transitions and to help guide portfolio companies through their next stage of growth. His practical leadership style and long-term perspective make him a valuable resource in ensuring smooth transitions and continued operational success.
